- Tutorial and Tips from the Detroit competition (MS Word format, 89 pages, 8.6MB)
http://ieee-seattle.org/futurecity/simcity/ref/ESDSimCity3000.pdf
Note: this is courtesy of the Engineering Society of Detroit, who sponsors Future City in that area. It contains a lot of information and is helpful, but it's a huge document.
- Phoenix region website "Helpful SimCity 3000 Info"
http://www.futurecity-phoenix.org/VirtualEngineer/HelpfulInfo/Info.htm
This website has good information, and was the inspiration for what I'm attempting to do here on this site. However, I believe some of the info on the site is incorrect or outdated. Much of the SimCity information is very detailed and technical, but it appears to have been written based on earlier versions (SimCity 2000, or even the original SimCity) and thus the info may not be accurate or be applicable to SimCity 3000 or to this year's Future City competition.
- Great tips on the "SimPage.net" website.
http://www.simpage.net/simcity3/tips.shtml
This website has info for SimCity 4, SimCity 3000, and SimCity 2000. Remember that only SimCity 3000 is accepted for the Future City competition. This site also provides information on Cheat Codes, but using cheat codes will result in zero points!
- Screen Shots of various Buildings from the FutureCity.org website.
