Chair’s Report - John Nierenberg:

Leann
and Paul Kostek have asked if they may place a statement supporting their
candidacies for IEEE office on our Web site. This was approved.

John
asked for any further feedback about the Engineering Fair experience.
Vice Chair’s Report - Sheri Rees
·
Spring
Banquet flyers were passed out and reservations were taken.
·
Don
Yuen was selected to act as MC for the evening.
Secretary’s Report - Al Moser
·
Last
month’s minutes were approved as received.
·
The
PE Refresher course is over. We actually made some money on it.
Treasurer’s Report - Rich Christie
·
A
budget report was passed out.
·
The
audit is still in progress.
·
It
is being attempted to establish an account for special projects in which the
Northcon funds may be placed.
PACE Report - Steve Brown
·
Steve
has been attending AELC breakfast sessions. There will be a final wrap-up when
the legislative session closes.
·
More
articles for the next DataLink are needed.
·
John
has been invited to be an industry liaison for WSU. Steve Brown will try to
make that commitment, too.
Standing Chair Report - Karen Pavletich
·
Karen
is working on obtaining the awards for the spring banquet. It was mentioned
that Joe Blaschka should get one as well, in appreciation for his audit work.
·
Karen
is doing some prep work on next year’s Future Cities competition.
Chapter Reports
·
Merv
thanked ExComm for the get well card he received shortly after his bypass
operation.
·
CAS
– Erik reported that Mani Soma will be talking to an upcoming session.
·
OE
– Sheri Rees reported on session where a man from NOAA PMEL will talk about
tsunami tracking and prediction.
·
PEL
– John said there is a talk on Pspice coming shortly.
Student Chapters -
·
UW
– Curtis Lu asked for help in advertising the Pizza Feed. Branch T-shirts will
be ready soon. The campus Tech Expo is coming on April 20. The new officers are
drafting a yearly plan which will include a corporate sponsor. He also reported
on the FIRST robotics competition that UW participated in.
