5. Chair's Report - Leann Kostek - Attachment A
   As required by the bylaws, a nominating committee has been formed to provide nominees for the 1999 - 2000 year. Five officer positions and 4 standing committee chair positions will be open. The committee is chaired by Steve Allen. Other members are Steve Brown, Swarm Kumar, Donald Yuen and Leann. The committee will provide a list of nominees for the January EXCOMM meeting.

   Continuing to work to bring together on a regular basis IEEE life time members

   The Region 6 meeting is scheduled for February 26 - 27th.

   Yearly dues ($301.15) to the PSEC (Puget Sound Engineering Council) are due. It is also time to plan for the Engineering Fair which is sponsored by PSEC. during Engineer's Week. The fair is January 19 - 20. The Section plans to have 1 booth in this year's fair.

   Action item: Will ask chapter chairs to provide equipment that representative of their chapter that could be part of a booth display.

6. Vice Chair's Report - Franklin Lu
   Has a list of potential sites for the Seattle Section Spring banquet and will narrow the list to 1 or 2 by January's meeting. The date is 2nd week in May. Discussion: members present request a weekend date to encourage greater participation with a focus on the entertainment.

7. Secretary's Report - Sharon Williams - Attachment B
   A minimum of 2 meeting reports required for a Chapter to receive a rebate. A list showing Chapters with a minimum of one received to date was provided. The national IEEE web site for blank meeting report L-31 forms.

8. Treasurer's Report - John Nierenberg
   No report

9. PACE Report - Leeann Kostek
   The Future Cities competition has 26 participating schools and mentors for all the schools.
