Subject: EMC REPORT

Chapter Chairman's Report - October 13, 1998

The September meeting of the Seattle Chapter of the IEEE EMC Society was held on the 29th at CKC Laboratories in Redmond. The speaker was Bob Dockey of Hewlett Packard. Bob spoke on PWB design considerations to minimize radiated emissions. Bob appeared through the EMC Society's Distinguished Lecturer program.

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 28. Chris Kendall of CKC Laboratories will present a 4 hour hands on tutorial on EMC test techniques. This meeting will start at 4 PM, rather than the more traditional 7 PM.

I have been elected to a three year term starting January 1 on the EMC Society Board of Directors.

Planning is progressing for the 1999 IEEE International Symposium on EMC, to be hosted in Seattle in August of next year.
