Introductions and positions announced
1. Chair Report
- Chairman's report - Attachment A
- Provided an overview of IEEE's structure and a
list IEEE acronyms - Attachment B
- Seattle Section receives $150 when a society has a
minimum of 2 meetings/year; so societies are encouraged to fill out meeting
reports and forward them to the secretary for her annual report
- May wish to develop planning goals for the year.
PACE's form may be useful - Attachment C
- For EXCOM members, additional food for thought -
AIAA check list - Attachment D
- Discussion of the Future Cities Competition -
Seattle EXCOM members approved providing $500 to support Washington's
Regional Competition
- Requests new ideas for IEEE Spring Banquet
2. Vice Chair Report - none
3. Secretary Report -
- Will provide a list of meeting reports received this
year from societies. May act as a reminder for any outstanding
meeting reports.
4. Treasurer Report
- What revenue generating classes can the Section
sponsor ?

- IA-34 - Have scheduled an 8 wk course January -
March 1999 with the Electric League of the Northwest.

- EXCOM approved ordering and selling 20 shirts with IEEE
Seattle Section Logo.
- Members would like to receive meeting notes electronically
9. Summary of Action Items
- Provide a list of societies in the Seattle Section
- Order 20 IEEE Seattle Section shirts
- APP/MTT wish to expand the chapter to include the
Electron Device Society. What the process ?
- Chapter chairs review the Seattle Section website to
verify that information is current
- Provide samples of the Engineer magazines to Duane
Carlson and Brian Mast.
- Each EXCOM member mail out 5 copies of the Northcon
conference brochure
