The Industrial Application Society invites you to a presentation on Industrial Energy
Efficiency Programs and Projects presented by Marcus Wilcox of Cascade Energy
Engineering, Inc.
Marcus will present an introduction to the BPA Energy Smart Industrial Program. He will
also provide review and insight for the following 3 case studies:
- Case Study #1: Industrial Refrigeration Capital Project
- Case Study #2: Industrial Refrigeration Retro-Commissioning/Tune-Up
- Case Study #3: Corporate Energy Management Ð Sysco Foods
Marcus Wilcox received his undergraduate degree in Physics from Whitman College,
and received a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University. He is
currently the President of Cascade Energy Engineering, which has offices in Oregon,
Washington, and Utah.
Cascade Energy Engineering has been providing industrial energy efficiency consulting since 1993. Cascade's staff includes engineers with pulp and paper, petrochemical,
steel manufacturing, and food processing experience. Cascade's expertise spans
virtually all industrial sectors, processes, and technologies. This includes refrigeration,
compressed air, pumps, fans, lighting, controls, VFDs and motors. Cascade provides
technical consulting for industrial energy efficiency capital upgrade projects. This
includes scoping, detailed studies, commissioning, and measurement and verification
services. Cascade also provides energy management services to companies such as
Sysco, SuperValu, Kroger, and Safeway. This includes tune-ups of industrial systems
and tracking software. Finally, Cascade provides utility industrial DSM program design
and management. Cascade is currently a program delivery contractor and manages the
Small Industrial program for the Energy Trust of Oregon. Cascade was recently
awarded a contract to design and manage BPA's new Energy Smart Industrial program.
