Puget Sound Engineering Council (PSEC)
Engineer of the Year Awards

The Puget Sound Engineering Council (PSEC) Engineers Week Banquet is held each February during National Engineers Week. Several Engineer of the Year awards are presented at that time. Nominations for each award are accepted by PSEC from each of its member societies. The Seattle Section IEEE has 4700 members and is the largest society in PSEC. There should be many well-qualified nominees for these awards from within our membership. There is a good chance that a well-prepared nomination will result in an award for an IEEE member. It would be an honor for our society to be well represented by these award winners.

Local IEEE member James T. Russell was selected by the Puget Sound Engineering Council as the 2005 Industry Engineer of the Year. It would be great to have other IEEE members recognized for these awards each year.

The deadline for nominations is Saturday, January 12, 2008. It can take longer than you think to put together a nomination, however, so don't wait until the last minute.

Nomination forms can be downloaded from the PSEC website. Contact Dave Butcher for information about the awards and other supporting material that may be required. All IEEE nominations should be submitted to Dave. Dave will forward them onto PSEC.
